Our Koh Samui concierge: what it does, what it won't do, and what it means for your hotel or villa
By the Endless Summer crew · · 9 min read

If you scanned a small stand on the table in your room and ended up here, this is what you found: the Koh Samui concierge run by Endless Summer, a licensed one-boat tour operator on the island (TAT licence 42/00594). It is an AI chat that helps you plan your days: our boat trips, other things worth doing, where to eat and how to get about. It costs nothing to use, and you don't need an account or to give your name to start.
This page has two readers. Guests who want to know what the concierge is and whether to trust it, and hotel and villa managers deciding whether to put stands in their rooms. The guest part comes first; properties, skip to the second half. Or simply open our concierge and try it.
What is the Endless Summer Koh Samui concierge?
It is an AI concierge that lives at concierge.endlesssummersamui.com and opens on your phone when you scan the QR code on a stand in a partner property. It tells you it is an AI before you start, and it may ask you to tick a box for a quick security check, which keeps automated bots out.
The first screen gives you today's sunset time on Samui and how many seats are left on the next sunset cruise, when one is bookable. Below that are suggestions you can tap instead of typing, such as "Sunset cruise for two", "A private boat for our group", "Days out with kids", "Ziplines, jet skis & elephants" and "Where to eat tonight". After that you just write as you would in a message to a friend who lives on the island.
Write in your own language and it replies in the same one. The stand in your room lists English, Thai, German, Chinese and Russian, but those are examples rather than a limit. If you need a person, the concierge passes you to our team on WhatsApp; our crew speak English, German and Thai.
What can you ask the concierge?
Ask it anything about planning time on Koh Samui. It is built to put our three boat trips first, then the island's other good days out, then the practical questions.
- Our boat trips, with live seats and real prices. The half-day trip runs Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 14:00, with snorkelling at Silver Beach (Crystal Bay) or Coral Cove. The Sunset Cruise runs Monday to Friday, 16:00 to about 19:30, along the north coast to the open water off Bang Po. The private charter is the whole boat for one group of up to 15; weekends are kept for charters.
- Other activities we recommend, booked through GetYourGuide: elephant sanctuaries that don't offer riding, ziplines, Muay Thai, cooking classes, jet ski tours, and trips to places our slow boat doesn't reach, such as Koh Tao.
- Restaurants and practical questions: where to eat near your hotel, getting around, what to bring on a boat day.
Planning in November or early December? Ang Thong National Marine Park is closed to visitors every year from 1 November to 15 December, so ask the concierge what's open instead. Our guide to the rainy season goes further.
What it doesn't do. It is a sales tool for a small boat company, and we would rather say so plainly. These are the lines it is built not to cross:
- Invent prices. Prices and seats for our trips come from our booking system and are worked out there, not by the AI. For activities on GetYourGuide it points you to GetYourGuide for the live price.
- Recommend things we wouldn't. The activities it suggests are a shortlist we picked. We only recommend elephant sanctuaries with no riding and no shows.
- Pretend to be neutral. It puts our three boat trips first and recommends other activities that don't compete with them, including tours to places our boat doesn't go.
- Take payment in the chat. Payment happens on our website checkout, not in the chat, and the concierge asks you not to type card, passport or ID details.
- Replace a person. Replies can be imperfect, and our crew confirm every booking. If something looks wrong, ask for a human.
- Stand in for reception. Room, bill and property questions still go to the front desk.
How booking a trip through the concierge works
The concierge never takes your money itself; it hands you to our website checkout, where you pay. For one of our trips it goes like this:
- Tell it the trip, the day and how many of you there are.
- It shows a booking card: trip, date, time, guests, pickup and the total.
- Tap "Reserve securely" and our website checkout opens with those details filled in. Pay by card or PromptPay.
- Our crew confirm your pickup time and boarding point, Petcharat Marina in Bangrak or Hansar Samui Resort in Bophut, on WhatsApp. Hotel van pickup is free from anywhere on the island.
Website bookings close 24 hours before departure, Bangkok time. Inside those 24 hours, the concierge points you to our crew on WhatsApp. Shared trips can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before departure.
Activities from GetYourGuide are booked on GetYourGuide's own site, at their price, under their terms and with their customer service. GetYourGuide pays us a referral fee when you book through the concierge; it doesn't change what you pay.
What happens to your messages
In plain words: your messages are used to answer you, and we don't keep the chat.
- Your messages go to our AI provider, Anthropic, only so it can answer you.
- We don't store the conversation. It clears when you close the tab.
- Please don't type card, passport or ID details into the chat. Anything a booking needs is asked for on the checkout page, and card payments are handled by our payment processor, so your card details never reach our servers.
- If you scanned a stand in a hotel or villa, your browser remembers which property it was for 30 days, so that property is credited if you book. It doesn't change your price.
- If you move to WhatsApp, that is an ordinary WhatsApp conversation with our team.
The full detail, including how long we keep WhatsApp messages and booking records, is in our privacy policy.
A hotel concierge for Koh Samui properties: what's in it for you
For a hotel or villa, the concierge costs nothing and earns you a share of every Endless Summer trip your guests book from your QR code that actually sails. That is the whole deal:
- Free. No fees, no costs, nothing for your staff to sell.
- Printed stands supplied. We supply the printed stands: an A5 table stand for each room, with your property's name and its own QR code.
- A share of every trip that sails. Paid on our sunset cruise, half-day trip and private charters booked from your code. Cancelled or refunded trips, including weather cancellations, don't count.
- Normal prices for your guests. No discount and no mark-up, so you are never undercutting or overcharging the people staying with you.
- A monthly statement.
- No cash and no admin. Guests pay us online, so there is no money for your team to collect.
We'll tell you the exact share when you get in touch; we just don't print it here.
Why hotels and villas put it in every room
Because guests ask the same questions at all hours, in many languages, and a lot of villas on Koh Samui have no front desk to ask. As a villa or hotel concierge, it answers at 11pm in Russian as readily as at 9am in English, and it books with a licensed operator, with free hotel pickup anywhere on the island.
It is not right for every property, and we'd rather you knew that before you sign up:
- If you run your own tour desk on commission, the concierge competes with it.
- It sells our boat first. For anything on the water around Samui's north and east coasts, it will suggest our trips before anyone else's.
- Some guests simply prefer a person. Your staff can still recommend whatever they like; the stand doesn't replace them.
If your guests ask you about things to do on Koh Samui, our guide to the whole island is a fair picture of what the concierge recommends and why.
How to bring the concierge to your property
Message us on WhatsApp at +66 62 417 0628 to bring the concierge to your property. Tell us the property's name and how many rooms or villas you have; we set up your code and supply your printed stands. After that, a statement arrives every month.
Try it first, the way a guest would: open our concierge on your phone, ask it to plan two days for a family, and see what it says.
Questions people ask us
- Is the Endless Summer concierge free to use?
- Yes. The concierge costs nothing for guests and nothing for the hotels and villas that host its stands. You don't need an account. You only pay if you choose to book something: our boat trips on our own website checkout, or other activities on GetYourGuide. Prices are the same as booking directly.
- Is the concierge a real person?
- No. It is an AI concierge, and it tells you so before you start chatting. It is set up by Endless Summer, a licensed tour operator on Koh Samui, and our crew confirm every booking it helps with. If you want a person at any point, it passes you to our team on WhatsApp, who speak English, German and Thai.
- Can I book a boat trip through the concierge?
- Yes. It shows a booking card with live seats and the real price, then opens our website checkout with your details filled in. The half-day trip is ฿2,900 per adult and the Sunset Cruise ฿2,500 per adult. Website bookings close 24 hours before departure; inside those 24 hours, it points you to our crew on WhatsApp.
- Does my hotel charge me more if I book through the room QR code?
- No. You pay exactly the same price as anyone booking on our website: no mark-up and no discount. Your hotel or villa receives a share of the trip from us, out of our side of the price, and only if the trip actually sails. Cancelled and weather-refunded trips earn the property nothing.
- How do hotels and villas join the concierge?
- Message us on WhatsApp at +66 62 417 0628 with your property's name and number of rooms or villas. It is free: we supply a printed table stand with your own QR code for every room, and you receive a share of every Endless Summer trip booked from your code that sails, with a monthly statement.
- Does the concierge store my conversation?
- No. Your messages go to our AI provider, Anthropic, only so it can answer you, and we don't store the chat; it clears when you close the tab. If you scanned a property's stand, your browser remembers which property for 30 days so it can be credited for a booking. Don't type card, passport or ID details into the chat.
